Subaru are teasing the BRZ STI (pictured)
The Subaru BRZ – the Subaru take on the Toyota GT86 – has the potential to be a lot more hardcore than its current setup allows. That has led to much speculation that Subaru will bolt a turbo on to the BRZ’s Boxer engine to produce a BRZ with something closer to the 300bhp we originally expected. In fact, at the end of 2011, Subaru in the US confirmed there would be a turbo version of the engine in the BRZ, although they fell short of actually confirming the BRZ itself would get it as an option, but at the end of 2012 we had a report that the BRZ will get the turbo engine and that it will deliver 280bhp.
Chris Bangle Associates has announced a new design contest called 'Illustrate the Future.' The competition is open to all design students across all design disciplines and coincides with the launch of Managing Director, Chris Bangle's new book. "I have written a fiction book about Car Design and the prologue takes place 25 years in the future," says Bangle. "It contains some concepts I have been working on, and this contest is to see what YOU would make of them."
Bangle's novel explores the state of affairs in the car design field and also expresses his concerns about the culture future generations of designers will inherit.

We’ve been pretty sure for some time that a Jaguar SUV Concept (or, really, a Jaguar Crossover Concept) will arrive at the Frankfurt Motor Show this month. And so it is. The Jaguar C-X17 Concept is being teased today, and it’s clear this is Jaguar’s new, small Crossover aiming to take a much bigger slice of the world’s premium market than anything else currently in the Jaguar range.
